The Willow Creek series by Micalea
Smeltzer was by far the best series I've ever read. Take a Chance is the
final book with the story of Hayes and Arden. It deserves no less than 5
wonderful stars and much more.
It's about Hayes the fourth member of the
band Willow Creek, who falls in love with Arden and her daughter Mia.
He's one of my favourite so far from all the boys. What he wants he
gets. He fights really hard to get Arden to go out with him. Who
can resist this sweet, charming, funny, sexy man? Arden surely can't.
He's funny with his comebacks. He will stop at nothing in order to
protect what’s he considers his.
Arden is a women who was brutalized by
her ex-husband and abandoned her when she was pregnant. So it's hard for
her to trust another man, but who can resist Hayes? He shows her what
real love is. She really falls for him when he treats Mia like she was
his daughter.
Mia needs to be mentioned because she
plays a major role in this wonderful story. She is the sweetest little
girl who loves and trusts Hayes. She comes out strong after a traumatic
experience.
This story made me laugh, made me cry
from sadness and of course, happiness. It's beautifully written, never a
dull moment. It spread out at a nice pace. It's so entertaining that
I read it in one day. I couldn't put it down for long. I felt a
true connection to these characters especially Arden. It captures you
from page one and doesn't let go till the very end.
I personally want to praise this great
author who writes stories that are enjoyable. She seems to invest a lot
in her books. I loved that her books were released not far apart so I
never forgot the previous ones. The connection was always there. All
her books so far have not disappointed me in the least. I can't wait to
read her next book that will come out in October.
I strongly recommend this awesome
book. To better enjoy this book, I would recommend reading the previous
Willow Creek books. The characters from the previous books make appearances
in all the stories. It's still a standalone with an HEA.
