This my 5 wonderful star review for From
the Wreckage by Melissa Collins. I adored this love story immensely.
Who in their right minds doesn't love a story about a hero, and a
firefighter with that? Well I sure love firefighters that's for sure.
I devoured this story with a passion. Firefighters are amongst
others who risk their lives each day in order to protect us.
This story is about Grace and David who
were childhood neighbours. David saves Grace from a life threatening
situation. For 18 years, neither have seen each other at all. Then
faith intervenes and they are reunited. Everything happens for a reason.
Grace is a funny, loving full of life young women who never forgot David during
that period. She's thought of him occasionally over the years.
David is a firefighter, a hero who as a
great relationship with his parents and friends. Hero, alpha and
protector. Swoon worthy. He meets a young women who he's
immediately attracted to, that turns out to be Grace. David never forgot
Grace either. They get to know each other all over again and fall in love.
He/she would do anything to bring the other much deserved happiness.
Then tragedy strikes and David’s past is no longer his own. Grace
makes him realize that the now and future is what's important. She will
help him heal. The first part of this story was about David and Grace
who fall in love and get to know each other again. It made my heart swell
up. The second part was their tragedy which made my heart bleed.
But Grace was strong enough for the both of them.
Just reading the dedication to her uncle
David had me in an emotional mess. Melissa surpasses herself with each
stories she writes. When I think they can't get any better than this, she
writes another awesome story. So when I know she has a new book coming I
anxiously wait for it. Getting an ARC from Melissa is a privilege I will
cherish. She had me hooked from page one till the very last page.
This book is an emotional and touching modern love story. Beautifully
written. The plot and the pace of the story was well thought out.
Melissa wrote a breathtaking story and a
heartbreaking one at the same time. Melissa has the ability to describe
the characters many emotions, features and personalities as if we knew them.
Her work demonstrates her love for writing. It's an HEA with no cliff-hanger.
I strongly recommend this book and also
her previous titles are worth the reader’s time and money.

About The Author:
Melissa Collins has always been a book worm. Studying Literature in college ensured that her nose was always stuck in a book. She followed her passion for reading to the most logical career choice: English teacher. Her hope was to share her passion for reading and the escapism of books to her students. Having spent more than a decade in front of a classroom, she can easily say that it’s been a dream.
Her passion for writing didn’t start until more recently. When she was home on maternity leave in early 2012, she read her first romance novel and her head filled with the passion, angst and laughter of the characters who she read about it. It wasn’t long before characters of her own took shape in her mind. Their lives took over Melissa’s brain and The Love Series was born.
