I was very excited to
be able to get an ARC from an amazing author like Isla Madden Mills that I
basically read it in a day. Filthy English is a 4 star story.
This is Dax story who
was first introduced in Dirty English as Declan twin brother, now he gets his
story. He gets to reunite with someone from his past, Remi. They meet again in
London because fate intervenes. Will they get their HEA?
The first third of
the book takes place in the same setting which after a while I thought it
started to get slightly monotonous. After that things kinda started shaping up
to become interesting, which it did, in a major way. There was some surprising
twist and turns, some of them I never saw coming. From there it was a whirlwind
roller coaster of emotions. I got frustrated at times with the lack of
communication between Remi and Dax, but that what makes the angst up for this
story.
Nicely written with
lots of storyline going on but without having the feeling of being too crowded.
Bottom line it was an enjoyable entertaining read.
This is a standalone
told in a dual POV with a much deserved HEA. This is the second story but
easily read as a standalone. The characters from the previous book come play a
role but nothing to confuse the readers. I highly recommend this story and also
Dirty English is worth reading too.
