The sexy as sin Marco, a man I never thought would be mine, asked me Melody Carmichael to marry him.
The sexy as sin Marco, a man I never thought would be mine, asked me Melody Carmichael to marry him.
Two months before I
became a Mrs., a job opportunity to film a documentary about rock n roller,
Matthew Lee and his band, presented itself. My swirling doubts compelled me to
pack a bag and spend two months on a tour bus. While I expected it to be a wild
ride, I had no idea, my life, as I knew it, would never be the same.
SEAN
I had lost everything, my wife, my dog and my house within a blink of an eye. Without my career as a drummer for solo artist/best friend, Matthew Lee, I would have been adrift in the rocky seas, drowning underneath mounds of legal work and divorce proceedings.

Our upcoming tour was
my opportunity to regain my focus but that was before, I found out documentary
filmmaker, Melody Carmichael, would be capturing our every move. With her fire
engine colored lips, raven black hair and a figure reminiscent of a 1950's
pin-up model she evoked dirty daydreams with a single glance.
As the professional
lines between us blur, I make it my mission to prove to Melody putting your
heart on the line is the greatest risk worth taking.

I fell in love with
this series with Marlene and Luke in Love of a Rockstar (the series debut) and
it extended easily over into love for Matthew and his love, Camille in Broken
Lullabies. So it was a no brainer that I would up for another go round, this time
with Sean and his lady love in Melody of Truth.
I do love me some Nicole Simone men, after all.
This book delivered on everything I loved about the previous books. We had a great heroine (strong, fun and inherently good) and a rockstar (drummer in fact) in Sean that was nothing like the typical ones I’m used to reading about. He, much like his previous heroes before him, had a beautiful heart and I was instantly swept up in him and his end goal of getting Melody as his one and only.
But no real love story is ever free of complications and this book, this couple, is no exception. They fight their attraction based on their current situation (work and personal), doing everything in their power to fight their bond, and love, well it’s not letting them have their way. They are tested and tried, but once they give in its very clear who they’re meant to be with. It’s also apparent that they’re going to be powerless to stop what is meant to be.
I definitely went back and time and got some serious Marlene and Luke feels from this book and it had nothing to do with the fact that all of the previous couples were mentioned or shown in this book. It was just the way they came across. It was like going right back to the start and was a beautiful thing to witness.
This was a great read and a brilliant addition to the series. The only thing that kept it from being a five star read for me was the ending. I felt that it ended a little too abruptly. Did it deliver on the end I wanted for these two wonderful characters? Yes. So I got what I wanted in that regard, for sure, but how quickly I got it and it was over, left me wanting just a little more.
If you’re a fan of rockstar reads, romances in general you might wanna give this one a go and hopefully you’ll enjoy it as much as I did.
My thanks to the author and all others involved in letting me read this story before its official release out into the world. I’m ready for even more, for this series and from this author in the future.
