When I start a new book, usually after a few chapters in, I can pretty much say if I'll relate to a story or not. In this case I wasn't sure, so I kept on reading. At first it looked kind of a predictable friends to lover kind of story. Midway throughout, there was a major shift in the story that threw me completely off course. One that I never saw coming what's so ever. From then on it was mind blowing twists until the very end. I basically spent the remainder of the story an emotional mess.

I don't want to reveal anything about this story except that it's a best friends to lover, with a second chance. Harley and Rose have been in each other's lives since they were children and years later they get a second chance.

This story really pulled real tight on my heartstrings where I was left a sobbing mess but with a smile on my face. This is an amazingly written storyline with a seamless plot. It's unlike anything I've read before.

This is a 4 star standalone that is mostly told in Rose's POV that goes back in time a few times. I recommend this story.
