I took this book to
review because I love second chance romance that had an interesting blurb.

Grayson has been gone
for a few years, leaving behind Pepper without any explications. Now he's
returned and brought trouble with him. They are both in danger from a past that
Grayson thought was no longer a threat. This is a second chance romantic suspense.
It looked promising
when I initially started reading it. I was 50% in and it was slow paced and I
had no idea what the story was about. The final punch line didn't really fit
with why Grayson came back. To me it looked like the person who asked him to
come back wanted the trouble that followed him to come with. I still don't know
why he returned except to protect Pepper from???? I don't know. I really wanted
to love it, but it fell flat. I did read it in a matter of hours because I was
waiting for something that would make me change my mind.
The romance was
amazing thought, they had chemistry. There was quite a few scorching hot steamy
scenes. I enjoyed the epilogue very much, it brought conclusion to this couple.
Standalone told in
dual POV with an HEA. This is a 3 star story.
