Synopsis

Two cups of an arrogant, dirty talkin’ firefighter who has an obsession with peaches and the forbidden girl who smells like them.

One tablespoon of a sweet schoolteacher trying to find her place in the world while attempting to resist her brother’s sworn enemy.

A slice of fate that has their hearts questioning the past and the consuming need they have for one another.

A dash of desire.

A pinch of rivalry.

A sprinkle of déjà vu.

Mix together in a large bowl to create a combustible passion and a future that neither of them could have ever predicted.

Bake at 350° for a rich serving of destiny and a love that could burn for eternity.

A timeless recipe that is sure to fill your heart with a generous helping of Sweet Haven.

***

This a longer length novella and is the second book in the Sweet series. It is told in dual POV, has an HEA, and no cliffhanger. Since Samantha and Jase are recurring characters from Sweet Temptation and Sweet Love, I recommend reading both books prior to this but it isn’t a must.

Warning: Due to mature subject matter, such as explicit sexual situations and coarse language, this story is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.

It's not an hidden fact that I'm very passionate about reading. I read then write willingly an honest spoiler free review for the ARC that is provided to me. I can't be anything but honest.

So it's K.C. Lynn's fault that I have red eyes, a runny nose, basically I'm a big pile of gooey mess. Also I emptied half a box of Kleenex. So yeah! It's all her fault for writing this story that latched itself to my heart, mind, body and soul. Although it's not a lengthy story, it's loaded of raw, pure emotions. Characters that were so well developed in order to make this journey a memorable one.
A firefighter, who doesn't love one of those. I know I do. Jase and Sam have so much passion, connection, respect and love. Characters that are selfless in their actions. There were some pretty emotional scenes where I had to put the book down for a few minutes in order to recompose myself so I could continue reading. So yes, I cried but also I was elated from some of the sweeter scenes that made swoon.
It had some funny moments too. The bantering between Sam and Jase is so comical that I laughed out loud often. Even some moments with Sawyer were funny too. I love the pie name that Sawyer gave Jase.
I could go on and on all night on how much I loved this story but I got to stop writing sometime.

I think it could be safely be read as a standalone even if some characters from previous books come into play. The author wrote in a way that was not confusing at all. I prefer to read books in a series in order if I can. Told in a dual POV with an epic epilogue that made me cry some more. I strongly recommend this 6 star story.
