About HARD JUSTICE:

Playing it safe has never felt so dangerous…
Justice Wallington knows how to harness his strength and intimidating size—skills he put to good use first in the MMA cage, and now as a bodyguard at the Body Armor agency. But no opponent has ever left him feeling as off balance as his new client, heiress Fallon Wade. Far from a spoiled princess, she’s sweet and intriguingly innocent. It’s a risk-free assignment, until he’s required to fake a relationship with her in order to blend in.
Sheltered from the world after a family tragedy, Fallon longs to experience life—going to bars, dancing, talking to strangers. Not easy with a huge, lethal-looking bodyguard shadowing her every move. Justice seems like her polar opposite, but pretending to be a couple stirs undeniable heat. And when danger strikes again, it’s not just her safety in jeopardy, but a passion that’s real, raw and absolutely against the rules…

Rating: ★★★★1/2 Stars (Rounded to 5 for Amazon & Goodreads)
Reviewer: Melyssa

I’ve gotta admit, when Justice made his presence known (and felt) in the previous book to this series, he jumped straight off the page at me, as a character I just knew I was going to love, even more than the main character Leese, who he was working side by side with at the time. And when I picked up Hard Justice and dived straight into the story about this former MMA fighter turned bodyguard, well I only enjoyed him more.
I’ll be honest and say that based on the way he was regarding women in the previous book, I didn’t think it was going to be such a flawless move, having him fall in love. That’s to say I thought it would have been harder. But as it turns out, it wasn’t. All you’re really seeing in the prior book is one side of the man and in this, you see the other sides.
The fiercely protective side. The honest to a fault side, even when he sounds awkward as hell saying some of what he says. The caring side. The fighter. The determined one. The lover. The friend and dare I say it since none of the men featured here are related, but the brother side too. It’s all here and it makes for one hell of a well rounded character. A hero.
Add in Fallon, who has spent a good portion of her life, especially after a tragic accident befalls her and her family, living under a microscope and becoming the epitome of sheltered by her parents, and it makes for one heck of a story.
What I enjoyed about this one was the lingering question of just who the real bad guy was here. On one hand, it could be someone that has fought against and been around Justice for a long time. It could be someone close to Fallon, or it could be someone completely set apart from both. The set up here, the way things were made to look at certain stages, well it kept me flipping pages dying to know just who it was going after both Justice and Fallon.
I wish there had been more background on these players, who they were and why these people were chosen by them but at the end of the day it didn’t hamper on my ability to enjoy the novel all that much because the greater story was the romantic one taking place between Fallon and Justice anyway.
I enjoyed that their relationship was built upon instead of moving at warped speed. I connected to them more that way. Every instance that takes place between them is given just the right amount of buildup and time and the author took great care with them, making their first kiss, their first touch even, more emotional. I was hooked. Add in the humorous moments, both with Justice and Fallon’s parents and the rest of the fighters from her previous series and it was a fantastic journey.
I’m looking forward to reading more from this gang in the future. Bring on the next one!
My thanks to the author and all others involved in letting me read a copy of this before official release. Justice and Fallon’s journey to love may have been hard, but it was definitely filled with just the right amount of soft moments as well.

It took Fallon a few seconds more to get her feet moving, then she darted to the closet with new excitement. Shoot, even having a bodyguard would be an adventure when the bodyguard looked like him.
She stepped into her flat-heeled shoes, found a cardigan to pull on over her top and chose a scarf to drape around her neck. She didn’t particularly like the outfit, but no way would she make him wait while she went through her wardrobe.
After one last fluff of her brown hair and a quick swipe of gloss over her lips, Fallon squared her shoulders, filled her lungs with a fortifying breath for courage and ventured forth.
The second she stepped out, she heard his deep voice and paused to listen.
“No need to worry. I’ll cover her.”
Her father choked, turned it into a cough, and said with authority, “She is not to be alone. Not for a single second.”
“Promise I’ll stick real close.”
Alarmed, her father corrected, “But not too close.”
“Just close enough, then.”
“No one is to get too cozy with her either.”
“No cozy shenanigans,” he said. “Got it.”
“She’s naive and doesn’t understand that thugs—” here her father paused for effect, his narrowed gaze on the man “—might try to use her to get to her wealth.”
“Yeah? That’s happened before?”
“Well…no.” Her father harrumphed in that familiar way that showed his annoyance. “But it’s a very real concern.”
