“This book devastated
me in the most wonderful way,” raves Meredith Wild. In Sugar Daddy, the New
York Times bestselling author of the Cold Fury series proves that
vengeance is sweet—but seduction is to die for.
Sela Halstead lost her innocence in a way that no sixteen-year-old should ever have to endure. She’s spent years trying to forget that night even while wondering about the identities of the monsters who brutalized her—until a telltale tattoo flashes across Sela’s TV screen. The incriminating ink belongs to Jonathon Townsend, the millionaire founder of The Sugar Bowl, a website that matches rich older men with impressionable young women. Obsessed with revenge, Sela infiltrates Townsend’s world, only to come face-to-face with a tantalizing complication: Beckett North, his charismatic business partner.
The tech mastermind behind The Sugar Bowl, Beck always gets what he wants, in business and in bed. And yet, for a man who’s done every dirty thing imaginable, there’s something about the naïve, fresh-faced Sela that sparks his hottest fantasies. Because with her, it’s not just about sex. Beck opens up to her in ways he never has with other girls. So why does he get the feeling that she’s hiding something? In a world of pleasure and power, the shocking truth could turn them against each other—or bind them forever.
Note: Sugar Daddy ends on a cliffhanger. Sela and Beck’s story continues in Sugar Rush and Sugar Free!

Reviewer: Diane
Authors write what
comes out of their creative minds in order to keep us entertained for hours on
out. What I like in certain books doesn't mean that the next reader will share
my view and vice versa. It saddens me to say that this is a 3 star story.
ARC of Sugar Daddy by
Sawyer Bennett provided in exchange for an honest and spoiler free review.
I took this book to
review because I had read quite a few books by Sawyer Bennett in the past, but
unfortunately I don't always relate to all the books I get to read. Personally,
I couldn't get past the storyline and plot. Sugar Babies, Sugar Daddies and
Sugar Bowl these titles that are associated with an escort service with the
options of a sexual relationship well, it doesn't appeal to me so therefore I was
not able to enjoy this story.
This story is about
Sela a young woman who has suffered one the worst traumas imaginable, is faced
yet again with her past. She wants revenge. In her quest to do so she meets
Beck, he was not part of the plan. In another plot or storyline I would have loved
this story because the characters were strong and fierce. I could have related
to them. I enjoy flawed characters who have to deal with real life issues, it
makes me connect more with the story. This is a romantic suspense.
There are some
qualities to this story, and because reading is subjective, the other readers
might take a shot on this book and fully enjoy it. The other readers might make
it work for them where it didn't for me.
This story is told in
a dual POV it does have a cliff-hanger. Authors work hard to gives us hours of
entertainment, so I would never be unkind to the author I'm doing a review for.
That being said, I do still enjoy Sawyers stories that are very entertaining.
She has plenty of other books that I could easily enjoy and would recommend.
