A chance encounter changes everything.
After the loss of his closest friend, and with a scheduled deployment closing in, the last thing Army Ranger Colin Dunham wants is to start any new relationship. But Joey, with her gorgeous eyes and blunt honesty, grabs Colin’s attention from the moment he catches her watching him from across the bar. He knows one night is all they can have. This mysteriously addictive girl ends up taking over every one of his dreams and nightmares, though, crossing the line of another night he’d rather forget.
As dreams become reality, Colin steps in to protect Joey from a threat he never imagined. And when tables turn, it’s Joey who must protect him.
Circumstances are never what they seem.

Rebecca never ceases
to be amazing with her stories that are nicely written with flawed characters
that deal with real life issues. This is a 4 star story.

Colin an army ranger
who's about ready to leave for deployment mets a fiery woman under the name of
Joey. They share one night and then he leaves never expecting to see her again.
Circumstances make it that they meet again, neither had forgotten each other.
Wounded during an assignment, Colin is returned home only to find himself alone
with his nightmares. He's suffering from PTSD coupled with the fact that he is
physically wounded. He will try to push Joey away and find solace elsewhere.
Can she bring him back from the depths of hell in time to save him?
Nicely written with a
seamless plot and great storyline. Although I would have loved to have seen a
little more of a connection between these two. I didn't find there was enough
passion and chemistry between them. This story was heartbreaking at times,
especially to read and feel the anguish coming from Colin. I felt his pain. I
love the flawed characters that deal with some real life issues. It makes me
feel so much emotions. The secondary characters were well developed and
complimented this type of story very well.
Standalone told in a
dual POV. I highly recommend this story. Rebecca Brooke's previous titles are
worth the readers time.
Rebecca a New Jersey
native has had a passion for reading all of her life. No matter the genre,
turning her dreams into stories for her readers to treasure is more than she
could ask for. She lives with her family wishing every day could be spent in
the summer sun.
